We offer 2 great chances to play water polo. Our Fall season typically runs from Mid-August through early November and is for boys and girls in grades 9-12. The Fall season usually features 3 tournaments across the state of Oregon and usually 1 in California and there are also usually a couple of league tournaments as well. We focus on fundamentals, conditioning and having fun as a team. We practice Monday through Thursday evenings at Rogue X. In the Fall we typically play more games and therefore often introduce and work on more sophisticated team offensive and defensive strategies than we might in the Spring season.  We are affiliated with Ashland High School for the Fall season, but do welcome local kids who may attend other high schools in the Rogue Valley that may not have a water polo team.
Our Spring season runs from March through May. This is our club season and is open to boys and girls grades 6 – 12. Spring season is a great chance to try the sport out for new players and hone skills for more experienced players. We work a lot of fundamentals and usually try to maximize scrimmage time as well. We definitely want players to develop a love for the sport so we balance supportive instruction, some conditioning work, and of course lots of fun! Spring season may include 1 tournament. As mentioned above, we split practices between Daniel Meyer pool in Ashland and Rogue X in Medford. We hope players can make it to all practices, but we know that’s not always feasible. As such, we keep a very open mind and are happy to work with kids individually regarding conflicts they may have with other Spring activities.
